NCSRA activated the online registration for 2015 referees. Recertifying referees should log into their account on Arbiter and complete the registration process from the Central Hub. Recertify now even if you are not ready to register for a classroom session or take the online testing. This will save you money on the registration fee.
New referees should go to this link: https://www.arbitersports.com/front/102762/Registration/2015-USSF-Referee-Registration and complete the registration form. In addition to the registration and payment on the 8 screens in this section, you will need to do the following:
1. Complete Risk Management application at NCYSA for a background check. There is no additional cost to the application process.
2. Complete the online testing on the NCSRA website under Online Clinics (4 parts). There is no additional payment for the online training sessions.
3. Attend a local referee classroom session. There is one that is not listed yet that is scheduled in Pittsboro on 8/2 and one that is listed on 8/3 in Cary. The classroom is not required in your first year, but our referee assignor will give preference to referees that have attended the classroom portion. There is no additional payment for the classroom.
4. After completing the above steps, you will need to purchase a complete referee uniforms including a shirt, shorts and socks. As a new referee, you will be doing recreation matches and will not need flags, cards or match reports yet if you want to wait to purchase those at a later date.
Questions about registering or online courses should be directed to David Hall at david@ncsoccer.org. Questions about the Pittsboro classroom can be directed to Frank Fitzgerald at ffitzgerald@chathamsoccerleague.org. Questions about the Cary classroom should be directed to Ralph Jordan at ralph.jordan@caslnc.com.
