Chatham Soccer League in partnership with Inter Development Futbol (IDF) are offering a three day college prep camp presented by All Pro Soccer on March 18 - 20 at Pittsboro Elementary School. This opportunity includes classroom work on how to apply and costs to attend. The event is open to boys and girls ages 14 to 18 years of age that are interested in playing soccer in college.
All Pro Soccer has been established in the USA for the past 16 years and has been involved with professional soccer clubs in Europe for a further 20 years. During this time All Pro Soccer has helped players receive over $10 million in soccer scholarships, as well as taken players to various professional levels.
This event will take place at Pittsboro Elementary School. All indoor presentations will be in the multipurpose room and field sessions will take place on the soccer fields behind the school.
Parents will also be allowed to attend the classroom sessions. It will take place over the course of a weekend, Friday, Saturday and Sunday for two hours per day.

FRIDAY:
6.00 PM: Introduction to All Pro.
6.15 PM: Overview of Workshop.
6.30 PM: Presentation of American University facilities and programs offered.
7.00 PM: Scholarship information for both sports and academic.
7.30 PM: Eligibility, Application to attend. SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) (writing, critical reading, mathematics)
7.45 PM: Identification, construction of DVD
8.00 PM: Question and Answer.
SATURDAY:
9.30 AM: Requirements of American Universities Coaches. (what coaches look for from players)
9.45 AM: Field Work: Positional Play so to be noticed by University Coaches. (All Positions covered).
10.45 AM: GAMES
12.00 PM: LUNCH
1.00 PM: Questionnaire (Each Player to complete questionnaire requirements)
1.30 PM: Recruitment letter to University Coaches, how to research university websites
2.00 PM: Construction of DVD for University Coach. Content of DVD, introduction of Player, academic achievements, soccer achievements, strengths and weaknesses, training and game footage to last no more than 5 minutes. (Note this can be done using your phone video. It does not need to be a professional level). References: References are required to match the DVD, both on and off the field. All Pro example reference
2.30 PM: Financial details of attending university. Hidden costs, travel expenses, job opportunities once graduated. In addition, opportunities to turn professional
2.45 PM: Timeline to attend University, commencing from 14 years to 18 years of age.
3.00 PM: CLOSE: Players instructed that there will be a mock tryout the following day.
SUNDAY:
9.30 AM: Warm up (even in warm up, players should impress coaches)
9.45 AM: Games (tryout). Opportunity to be videoed by the parents attending
11.45 AM: LUNCH
12.45 PM: Example training sessions held by Universities. (Opportunity to be videoed by parents attending)
2.00 PM: Review of Tryout. What was good, What was bad in relation to giving positive exposure to the University coaches.
2.15 PM: Review of Questionnaire Sheets, answering questions
2.45 PM: Q & A from parents and players in regards next steps to take in contacting University Coaches
3.15 PM: FINISH: Note each player will be sent their personal 6 University recommendations
(Please note, it is advised that each student reviews the University Soccer schedule in relation to the Universities they compete against, as this will also open opportunities for similar universities to apply too.).
Each Player's review shall have full contact details to all universities, costs to attend, scholarships both academic and sport available, links to grants available. Each student shall receive the course syllabus both in booklet form and flash drive. Please note it takes our research coordinators for Universities a great deal of time and effort to personalize your university selection. Therefore, please allow 28 days from completion of this workshop to receive your personalized packs.
Finally there are NO GUARANTEES OF SCHOLARSHIPS. This is an informational workshop helping players interested education and sport in university. Yes, players maybe identified and recommend to universities by the All Pro staff but it is fully down to the player on his or her application.
NOTES: It is advised that each player when attending the workshop brings soccer training equipment for field sessions, water and pen and paper for class room sessions.
